I am not sure how prevalent battery milk farming is at the moment. We certainly always try to buy organic milk at home, but when eating out it is nigh on impossible to find any businesses using it.

The vast majority of milk used by restaurants and manufacturers comes from factory-farmed animals.
If something just says 'milk' , then it's logical to assume that it comes from factory-farmed cows.
Plenty of organic milk produced in the UK comes from animals within organic dairies who have endured factory-farming conditions (whether lifelong, or towards the end of their lives) - so the issue of whether or not milk is organic, is a seperate one from the issue of how animals have been treated.
I agree, that it would be good if restaurants offered soya milk more often.... I hear that Starbucks offers soya milk, but don't know where else does.
