Default Ministrone Soup & Thai Green Curry paste

I almost bought some 'vegetarian' ministrone soup in Sainsbury's today, but was stopped by the fact that it contains egg pasta... almost certainly battery farmed eggs.

We also found that the Thai green curry paste that used to be vegetarian isn't any longer, since they added Anchovy extract. Why? And how many vegetarians will continue buying the product without realising that Sainsbury's have added fish to it? What about people with fish allergies? Isn't this extremely dangerous?

Why indeed? Why would you want to add Anchovy extract to a curry paste?
The only route here is exposure though.

As regards people with fish allergies, they're usually used to scanning the ingredients list.
