The first project that we will tackle will be supermarket in-store bakeries. I selected this because it is a relatively easy target, newsworthy and contained - there are only a limited number of companies to contact.
Please share all of your ideas and experiences about bakeries and their lack of labelling.
Issues that spring to mind:
- No labelling of pork or beef gelatine - of interest to Muslims, Jews and Hindus.
- Vegetarian and Vegan labelling, obviously
- Local produce used? Flour etc.
- Organic milk used?
- Free-range eggs?
- Allergy information - nuts, gluten, dairy etc.
