Web promotion ideas

Does anyone have any more ideas for some fast web promotion?

I have emailed just about everyone that I can think of (journalists, societies etc). I have posted an announcement in various UK forums.

I am not sure how to get bloggers interested though. It seems very hard to contact any of them (no contact details provided).

I have tried the social bookmarking sites, but without much luck so far.

Try leaving 'comment's on blog sites? That usually gets the author's attention.

Yes, good idea. My only concern is that I don't want to spam the sites by posting adverts into inappropriate threads. I would much rather be able to email them and let them post something if they like the idea.

I will take another look.

Finding appropriate blogs is another issue too.

After some slightly more in depth investigation there are actually a reasonable number of bloggers who do provide contact details... even if you have to hunt them down to their MySpace account to send a message that way

Well, i blog and have a forum which hardly anyone posts in, I'm not sure how to promote it better but keep meaning to get around to it.

I saw someone posting about this at a friend's vegan forum (I don't think that anybody from that topic came here to post, though :/ ) and moseyed over.
